Yes - WaypointHR can run on your own in-house server
If you have your own in-house server (or are comfortable managing your own server), WaypointHR can be downloaded and installed - free of charge - to run locally within your own premises.
WaypointHR On-Demand, our data hosted version, is also available, for those users who do not have their own server (or the technical resources to manage one).
Whichever option you choose, you do not need to install any software on your desktop PC. WaypointHR uses a central RDBMS (relational database management system) to store its data.
WaypointHR Server Requirements
With WaypointHR you can setup and run your own human resource information system in house with a little help from your IT staff.
To run WaypointHR locally, you will need an in-house company server. You will need to install both MySQL and PHP on your server to run WaypointHR. (For testing purposes, it is possible to run a MySQL, PHP and web server on a desktop PC, perhaps using a stacked installation such as XAMPP for Windows.)
WaypointHR runs successfully on both Windows and Linux servers.
(If you do not have your own in-house company server or want the added security your employee data is being securely held off-site, WaypointHR On-Demand, our hosted data option may be a better option for you.)
